No, there is no pain associated with K-Laser Therapy, and it’s non-invasive. Sedation and restraint are not required. As a matter of fact, the experience is usually pleasant and comforting for your pet.

A K-Laser Treatment for your pet is non-invasive and takes place during an easy office visit. During the treatment, everyone in the room will wear eye protection. No sedation or shaving is necessary. We will simply move the laser wand over the area to let it do its work. In most cases, this procedure takes about 10-20 minutes. Your pet will feel no discomfort, as the laser is cold! Your pet may be very relaxed after the treatment, as they will be comfortable and pain-free.

This type of therapy is a very safe procedure for your pet. The biggest danger is damage to the retina if a human or animal looks directly at the laser beam. In order to prevent this, everyone in the room, including your pet, will wear protective glasses.
